This is the sander that defined the term
"Dual Action". Often imitated, but never equalled,
the DA features a unique drive geometry that results in
interrupted contactof the abrasive to the work surface.
Since the pad is always changing plane and travelling in
a non-repeating path, the abrasive does not "load up"
with sanding fines, and heat generation is minimized. The
result is a scratch-free finish, longer abrasive life, and
the elimination of hand sanding in a variety of applications.
